#USMLicensing | Thanks to the recently signed licensing contract, the multidisciplinary team, headed by academic Marcos Zúñiga, would begin the production and commercialization of a system for the inspection of culture meshes in aquaculture cages.
“Having managed to formalize a licensing contract with a spin-off from developments by USM academics such as Wildsense, shows that it is possible to develop R&D on its full scale until reaching the commercialization phase. This path makes it possible to enable a technology transfer scheme where the academy can develop a new technological industry, impacting the economic and social development of the country,” Marcos Zúñiga Barraza, academic at the USM Department of Electronics and associate researcher at the Valparaíso Scientific and Technological Center.
